Founder, Travel Consultant
Hi there, I'm Meghan! I'm a passionate traveler and nomad. I spend my time teaching online, backpacking the world, and researching new places. I've visited 43 countries (so far!) and make it my goal to stray off the path to really learn the intricacies in a new culture. From remote zen retreats in Asia to castle ruins in Europe, I'm always looking for that next adventure!
I'm Olivia, UnearthAway's South America Travel Consultant! I feel most at home when I’m out of town, so I do everything in my power to travel often and well. I found my soul city in Buenos Aires, where I lived for several years and fell in love with the Latin American way of life.

I am a native Floridian who now hails from Colorado. I originally discovered my desire to explore when I started working at a camp in Colorado. Each summer my father and I would take long road trips to and from the mountains, and I fell in love with experiencing new places and meeting new people. After exploring my own country, my desire for adventure and connecting with different cultures translated into focusing on more international travel after college. Recently I got married and become an insta-mom to two elementary aged girls. I always assumed that once I had children my traveling days may be over, but I love that my husband encourages all of us to experience the world in new ways through travel. Now I enjoy the challenge of learning to travel and engage with new cultures along with our kids
Our travel writers:
I'm a native Texan teaching English around the world (formerly in Prague and just relocated to Taipei) in order to bring international best practices back to the U.S. education system. My passions include tacos, Scotch, and feminism, and I love talking to people from radically different backgrounds about all three. For me, travel is about immersion -- culture is not a thing to be photographed from the confines of a tour bus, but rather something to be tasted, smelt, and touched. If you get out of your comfort zone and get your hands dirty, you'll be able to see how truly beautiful this world can be.
I was first bitten by the travel bug in high school & have been suffering from constant wanderlust ever since! I currently reside in Boston, but have previously studied French in Paris & taught preschool English in Prague. I specialize in “challenging travel” or planning trips with extremely novice travelers, teenagers & older family members--but I also enjoy a good solo trip! At this point I have visited 19 countries in North America, Europe & Asia and am always planning my next adventure!
I am a born and bred Bostonian with a love of books, art, and adventure. One of my mottos is “be a traveler, not a tourist.” I believe that experiencing different cultures and landscapes is extremely powerful and one of the most important aspects of life. I love to research and plan travel for myself and others, and have learned some good tips and tricks along the way. Trying to immerse yourself in the world around you can open your mind and your heart to things you never thought possible!
